I decided to take a class in Argentina to learn how to make empanadas. The class was held in the home of Norma Soued. The kitchen was very small. About 6 people in the class. The class did not allow for students to participate hands-on other then someone sliced an onion, another sliced olives etc., we then assembled the empanadas and cookies ( alfahores). Most of the preparation was done ahead of time. The soup ( locro) was made of lentils and vegetables with sausage. We then sat around the table to have our meal. You are then sent away with your recipes and a small round cookie cutter. I would only recommend this class if you want to learn about the culture and have a nice lunch.
